QuizFi is operated by Venturio Labs, trading name of Antonio Durasek — Venturio Labs, a registered sole trader in Ireland. References to "QuizFi", "we", "us" or "our" in this policy refer to Venturio Labs. Our contact email is hello@quizfi.app.
1. What information we collect
Information you provide directly
- Account registration details: email address, display name, and password (stored as a secure hash).
- Profile information you choose to add: avatar, preferred categories.
- Reward redemption requests: PayPal email or gift card preference. We do not store payment card details.
- Communications you send us: support requests, feedback, contact form submissions.
Information collected automatically
- Quiz activity: categories played, questions answered, scores, streaks, points earned.
- Device and browser information: browser type, operating system, screen resolution, IP address.
- Usage data: pages visited, time spent, click patterns, referral source.

2. How we use your information
- To operate and improve the QuizFi platform and quiz experience.
- To track your points, tier progress, and process reward redemptions.
- To personalise the content, quizzes, and advertisements you see based on your quiz activity and category interests.
- To send you account-related emails (account confirmation, password reset, reward notifications). We will only send marketing emails if you have opted in.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse of the rewards system, or violations of our Terms of Service.
- To comply with applicable laws and legal obligations.
3. Advertising and affiliate links
QuizFi displays advertisements served by Google AdSense and other programmatic advertising partners. These partners may use cookies to serve ads relevant to your interests. Please see our Affiliate Disclosure for details on how affiliate recommendations work on this platform.
We use first-party interest tags derived from your quiz activity to contextualise which ads you see. We do not sell your personal data to third parties for advertising purposes.
4. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing personal data are:
- Contract performance: processing necessary to provide the QuizFi service you have signed up for.
- Legitimate interests: improving the platform, fraud prevention, and serving contextually relevant advertising.
- Consent: for optional marketing communications and non-essential cookies, where we have obtained your consent.
- Legal obligation: where we are required to process data to comply with applicable law.
5. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records. Quiz activity data may be retained in anonymised aggregate form for analytics purposes.
Inactive accounts (no login for 24 months) may be deleted after prior email notice.
6. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Service providers: hosting, email delivery, analytics, and fraud prevention providers who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.
- Advertising partners: Google AdSense and programmatic partners receive contextual signals (category interest tags) but not your personally identifiable information.
- Reward fulfilment: if you request a reward payout, your PayPal email or gift card preference is shared with the relevant payout provider only at the time of fulfilment.
- Legal authorities: where required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.

- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.

QuizFi is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at privacy@quizfi.app and we will delete it promptly.

Your data may be processed in countries outside the EEA, including the United States, by our service providers. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of QuizFi after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
